Ideal for: Public Health Professionals Helping Facilitate QI Projects
The goal of this three-week course is to cover from start to finish what to expect in a quality improvement (QI) project. Learn how to scope and organize resources, LEAN problem solving, and how to verify impact and ensure sustainability. Plus, get tools, templates, and tips from people who have experience facilitating QI projects.
This micro-course was developed in partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Office of Partnership, Planning and Improvement and the Colorado Association for Local Public Health Officials (CALPHO) for public health agencies in Colorado. However, those working in other states and in other settings may find it useful as well.
We use a flipped-classroom approach, so you’ll work through course content independently and then connect with a small cohort of peers weekly for live learning sessions that provide an opportunity to ask questions, share your knowledge, and learn from others.
3 Live Learning Sessions: WEDNESDAYS, 12-1 PM (MST)
Each session will include a facilitated discussion among class participants related to that week’s topic. A subject matter expert will lead the discussion, engage participants, and answer questions. This is a unique opportunity to connect concepts of evidence-based decision-making in your daily work! Below is the schedule for our live sessions.
Successful completion of this course requires your participation in these sessions by video using a webcam or built-in camera on your device.
weekly Online Learning activities
