The Foundational Interview Skills training is an interactive, half-day virtual course intended for professionals working with communicable disease interviewing. The first half of the training will include breaking into groups for an interview skills practice session and a presentation on interview skills and techniques. The second half of the training will include a second interview skills practice session. All activities will be discussed as a large group and participants will receive mentoring and advice from facilitators and peers throughout the training.

Learning Objectives

This virtual workshop will enable participants to:

  1. Practice interviewing skills and learn new techniques.
  2. Develop enhanced listening skills.
  3. Problem solve common interviewing challenges.
  4. Practice completing investigation forms.

4.5 hours (with a half-hour lunch break)
