Description

Cannabis Education Prevention - Community of Practice (COP)

WHAT TO EXPECT

Join us every month for meaningful conversations with your peers. This is an opportunity for Prevention Professionals/Community Champions who are engaged in prevention efforts surrounding cannabis use among young people to come together for valuable discussions, sharing, learning, and networking. Priority will be given to individuals who are working in the communities of La Plata, Las Animas, Montrose, or Delta counties

A "community of practice" (COP) is a group of professionals who come together to discuss a topic or issue they all have in common. By joining this community of practice, you are saying you have something to share from your own work within the prevention fieldand that you have things that you want to learn, to advance your practice in this area. The Cannabis Education Prevention Community of Practice will be facilitated by UpRISE, and each month's topic will be sent out to registrants in advance. Feedback provided will shape the conversation for each month. There will not be any formal presentation, and the conversation will be driven by the participants. Each session will feature a brief information-sharing segment (~10 minutes), followed by open discussion and knowledge exchange.

This COP is limited to Prevention Professionals/Community Champions who are engaged in prevention efforts surrounding cannabis use among young people. Priority will be given to individuals who are working in the communities of La Plata, Las Animas, Montrose, or Delta counties. This space is informal and you do not need to attend every month.
