Description

In 2015-2016, the Colorado Public Health Association received funding from the American Public Health Association and the Colorado Gaining Ground Initiative to implement a 7-month project to assist 3 Local Public Health Departments to tailor their workforce development plans to meet the Public Health Accreditation Board’s (PHAB) requirements for accreditation.

The Colorado Public Health Association worked with the Colorado School of Public Health and the Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center to select, train and fund 3 Masters of Public Health students to support the 3 local public health agencies in creating their workforce development plans.

Students and local public health agencies were paired for 4 months to work on this project.  At the conclusion of the project they shared their impressions and lessons-learned.
