Shared Risk and Protective Factors Conference 2020

After much consideration and with public health as our top priority, we have decided to cancel the 2020 Shared Risk and Protective Factors Conference due to the Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). CDPHE’s Prevention Services Division is canceling all large gatherings, trainings, and conferences through the end of May based on public health and social distancing recommendations. We hope that an early decision to cancel this conference in May can help local communities better plan and adjust for the remainder of the fiscal year. We also know that many local public health agency staff are being drafted into their local outbreak response.

Despite the conference cancellation, please check out our virtual Shared Risk and Protective Factors offerings from May 18th through May 29th:

Appreciation

Our sincerest appreciation to all of you who have helped in the planning for the conference, agreed to present, sit on a panel, display a poster, host a gathering, and much more. Your contributions were going to make our 4th annual conference a success. We will keep your expertise, submissions and contributions in mind for the next conference we plan.

Thank you all for your understanding of this situation. We hope to see you at the next Shared Risk and Protective Factor conference.

The Shared Risk and Protective Factors Conference attracts adults and young people from across Colorado actively engaged in upstream or primary prevention efforts at the state and local level. This event aims to strengthen collaboration efforts across organizations and funders; build skills to enhance implementation of evidence-based prevention practices, policies, and programs; and highlight successful efforts of community-led coalitions.
