Motivational interviewing is a patient-centered communication technique that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. In this interactive workshop, you will learn basic MI techniques you can use with patients to help support behavior change: open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening and summarizing.
Please note: This is the same content that is covered on Day 2 of the Health Navigation Fundamentals Course. It is designed for those new to MI or who would like a skills refresher.
The cost is $150 for Colorado residents and $250 for out of state participants.
Please contact Erin Martinez at firstname.lastname@example.org if you or your employer will send a check for your registration fee.
Lunch will be provided.
Please ensure you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation, your registration was not processed.
Please note our refund and cancellation policy:
Please note: The PNTC requires a minimum number of students registered to hold a course. If the minimum enrollment is not reached 10 days prior to the course date, the course may be cancelled. Participants will be notified via email and registrations will be refunded in full.
