The purpose of the Healthy Kids Colorado Survey (HKCS) is to better understand youth health and the protective factors that support Colorado youth in making healthy choices. HKCS results can be used to assess community needs, identify disparities, and guide strategies to equitably impact youth health at the local level. In this panel discussion, we will provide an overview of the HKCS instrument, methodology, and data products available later this summer. We will also highlight how one Colorado community started with their local HKCS results to build connectedness and resilience for youth who identify as LGBTQ+. Attendees will be encouraged to participate in the conversation and share their experiences.
