Blending or braiding funding is the combination of multiple funding streams to support a program or initiative. It can be an effective approach to support program sustainability but how do you leverage multiple funding sources appropriately and effectively? This workshop will dive into the “what” and “how” of blending and braiding funding – and will allow an opportunity for participants to practice the approach and discuss how it might apply to the work you’re doing.

  1. Define blended funding and braided funding
  2. Distinguish between blended funding and braided funding approaches
  3. Describe how to blend or braid funding appropriately as a tool for program sustainability
