Public Health Pre-Apprenticeship Program


 

Building upon the valuable skills case investigators, contact tracers, and resource coordinators have employed to contain the spread and impacts of COVID-19, the Public Health Pre-Apprenticeship Program provides continued career exploration within public health and health care fields through a simple three-step online program:

Step One: Complete the Colorado Public Health Workforce COVID-19 Response Training

Step Two: Complete at least one (1) online career exploration module of your choosing, approximately 30 minutes

  • Option to complete a free Basic Life Support (BLS) certification course upon completion of at least one career exploration module

Step Three: Complete one (1) career counseling session with a workforce navigator scheduled through Arapahoe Community College or the Community College of Denver, approximately 30 minutes and conducted via phone

 

You must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

  • If you have forgotten your password, click the "Forgot Password" link on the Canvas login page to reset your password. This must be done through Canvas. RM-PHTC cannot reset passwords.

Potential to Earn College Credit

Participants who fulfill the Public Health Pre-Apprenticeship Program, complete a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and complete all 13 career exploration modules may qualify to earn college credit, which could be applied towards a health care certificate or degree program. Potential to earn college credit may be discussed during your career counseling session.

 

Receiving Your $100 Amazon Gift Card

Trailhead Institute will be notified once you've completed all three steps of the Public Health Pre-Apprenticeship Program. At this time, you will receive a $100 Amazon Gift Card via the email address used to create your Canva account.
