Description

"Coming together is a beginning, staying together is process, and working together is success." – Henry Ford

Join others around Colorado working on assessment and planning efforts in their community to build skills, share successes, and be inspired in this one-day workshop. Through presentations, group activities, and personal reflection, this workshop will focus on the partnerships that are essential to improving the health of our communities and to advancing health equity.

CDPHE’s Office of Planning, Partnerships, and Improvement (OPPI), Trailhead Institute, the Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Institute (RM-PHTC), and the Colorado Association of Local Public Health Officials (CALPHO) are hosting this peer-learning workshop on building, maintaining, and optimizing strategic public health partnerships.

This workshop is appropriate for those conducting assessment and planning efforts including Planners at local public health agencies, Regional Health Connectors, and Communities that Care Facilitators and will:

  • provide grounding in the central, strategic role partnerships play as we orient planning work upstream

  • engage attendees in highly participatory breakout sessions on partnership management, governance, inclusive facilitation, and innovative collaboration methods

  • practice utilizing and facilitating live remote attendance options via Zoom video-conferencing

  • encourage deep discussion and networking so attendees can benefit from each other’s skills, experience, and creativity

  • explore the opportunities and challenges of bringing partners with diverse or divergent interests to the same table

Travel reimbursement is available for local public health agencies.
