Designing meetings so they are focused, effective, and engaging is a key leadership skill for leaders of any age. Whether you lead a youth community organization, participate in school organizations, sit in on workgroup or committee meetings, stakeholder planning sessions, or other types of meetings, this virtual workshop will provide you with strategies and techniques to help you keep your meetings on point, engaging, and action-oriented. This workshop focuses on how to plan and structure a meeting to achieve your desired outcomes.
This virtual workshop addresses the strategic skill of Persuasive Communication as participants will explore strategies for leading meetings that are inclusive, invite dialogue and engagement, and motivate participants to action.

Facilitation of the training will be provided by Olivia Jolly. Olivia has been with the Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center since July of 2018 and with the Colorado School of Public Health since 2009. Olivia currently serves as the Practice-Based Learning Manager for RM-PHTC directing an HRSA funded field placement stipend program, Student Leaders in Public Health, for undergraduate and/or graduate students conducting public health work in underserved communities/populations. Also serves as an occasional facilitator for RM-PHTC and manages a team of online session support staff. Before working with RM-PHTC, Olivia served as Faculty Director of Practice-Based Learning for the ColoradoSPH. In this position, Olivia served as a liaison between the students, faculty, and the public health community in connecting students to appropriate projects to further their skills outside the classroom and to benefit the community and future public health workforce. Prior to ColoradoSPH, Olivia worked 9 years in tobacco control with The BACCHUS Network.
