Mobile health (mHealth) refers to the use of mobile and wireless devices to improve health outcomes, healthcare services, and health research. This rapidly growing, fast-paced field can involve the use of mobile applications, mobile communications, mobile sensors, mobile devices, and/or mobile data.
Join the Integrated Food Safety Centers of Excellence for two one-hour webinars as we discuss the various ways mHealth is being integrated into enteric disease case investigations. Topics will include successes, lessons learned, and challenges to implementation. Participants will have ample time for questions.
New technologies such as online interviewing and text messaging are gaining popularity among enteric disease public health professionals, but is there data/evidence to support their use? In this webinar session, results from three different pilot projects will be shared: CO Campylobactor online interviewing, GA Campylobactor pre-texting, and CO Giardia text-only interviewing. Ample time will be reserved for participant questions.
