Shared Risk and Protective Factors Conference 2023


The Shared Risk and Protective Factors Conference brings together prevention professionals and those who want to drive community change of all ages who are looking to build skills in prevention; diversity, equity and inclusion; and Positive Youth Development. Community coalition members, funders, and other professions seeking collaborative learning on prevention topics across sectors may also find value in attending.

 

This conference is intended for people currently engaged in creating connected communities and safe, healthy, and successful youth, including grantees of the following programs:

Tuesday, May 30: Virtual Trainings and Sessions in morning and afternoon

Wednesday, May 31: Virtual Trainings and Sessions in morning and in-person in afternoon, Opening Keynote by Kien Lee of Community Science, Inc.

Thursday, June 1st: Breakfast ; In-person morning and afternoon sessions, mid-day interactive Plenary with Mary Pauline Diaz-Frasene of The Dinner Party, with optional evening activities

Friday, June 2nd: Breakfast; Sessions and Closing Keynote with Jonathan McMillan, Director of Gun Violence Prevention at CDPHE

COVID-19 Health & Safety

In-person, COVID-19 safety protocols including requiring masks when indoors and not eating or presenting, vaccine or negative home/PCR test taken 3-days prior to event, and wavier attesting to follow outlined procedures will be required.

In the interest of public and community health, and value of making in-person events accessible to people from all walks of life and living situations, the Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center (RM-PHTC) requires all attendees of in-person events hosted by RM-PHTC to abide by their COVID-19 safety policy, including:

  1. wearing a mask when indoors and not actively eating, drinking, or presenting
  2. being fully vaccinated, a booster is strongly encouraged, (or have a negative test 72 hours prior to event start; home test permitted), and
  3. if you are symptomatic or have a known exposure, staying home until you get tested and are negative.

A signed waiver and on-site verification and adherence to the above requirements will be required of all attendees.
