This kick-off meeting will serve as an opportunity for FY19 grantees of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Cancer, Cardiovascular, and Pulmonary Disease and Health Disparities grant programs to come together to learn, build, share, and connect. You will have an opportunity to meet face-to-face with CDPHE staff, Technical Assistance providers, and other grantees. The format for the meeting will be informative and interactive.

Who Should Attend: Each CCPD/HD grantee is required to send at least 1 representative to the Kick-off meeting. Grantees may choose to send 2-3 representatives including staff, contractors, or community partners closely involved with the project.


Cost: The Kick-off Meeting is free to attend for CCPD/HD grantees. Grantees will be responsible for covering their travel to/from Keystone; lodging; and meals not included during the meeting. Lunch on Day 1 will be included; breakfast and lunch on day 2 will be included.


Lodging:Hotel accommodations are available at the The Hyatt Place Keystone online, or by calling the Hyatt Place Keystone at (800) 993-4759 and referencing group code G-CCP8. The room rate is $121.00/night plus taxes and fees for single and doubles at both locations. This rate is available three days pre/post meeting dates. A credit card is required when the reservation is made. The credit card is automatically charged for final payment 24 hours prior to arrival and cancellations are allowed 24 hours outside arrival date with no penalty.

Learning Objectives

The goals for this kick-off meeting are to:

  • Clarify roles and responsibilities of project monitors, evaluation, and training/TA teams
  • Identify collaborative networks within grant strategies and focus areas
  • Describe lessons learned (successes and challenges) of CCPD/HD grantees
  • Identify key factors that are central to the sustainability, success, and evaluation of CCPD/HD projects
  • Apply educational session activities to work within their communities
